ODP Announcement 20-033:
Supports and Services Directory for Shift Nursing in the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW)

Audience

Individuals and Families, Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs), and other interested parties. 

Purpose

To provide a Supports and Services Directory of providers qualified to deliver the Shift Nursing service to individuals in the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW).

Discussion

In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) applied to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for an Appendix K addition to the AAW. CMS approved ODP's Appendix K on March 18, 2020. 

Included in the AAW Appendix K is the temporary addition of Shift Nursing for individuals enrolled in the AAW. ODP is issuing a Service and Supports Directory (Attachment 1) of providers qualified and registered to deliver Shift Nursing to individuals enrolled in the AAW. 

For more information on how and when to add Shift Nursing for individuals enrolled in the AAW, consult the Operational Guide for Appendix K in the Adult Autism Waiver. This guide, as well as all communications and other materials issued in response to COVID19, can be found at this link on MyODP.org. 

Shift Nursing is a temporary service offered through the AAW while Appendix K is in effect. Appendix K took effect March 11, 2020; and is in place through March 11, 2021 or until an end date is determined.
