The Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Payment Program is a federal program that provides funding to states to develop and administer provider electronic incentive programs. States receive 90/10 percent match for program administration expenses and 100 percent match for provider incentive payments. The program's intent is to encourage provider adoption, implementation and meaningful use of electronic health records. Professionals could be eligible to receive payments up to $63,750 (and $42,500 for Pediatricians) over a six year period, and eligible hospitals may obtain additional information about Eligible Hospital Payments from the CMS Medicaid Hospital Incentive Payments Calculations information sheet located here.
