ODP Announcement 20-060: Reinstatement
of Quality Assessment & Improvement Cycle 1 Year 3 Activities

Issued: May 22, 2020

Audience

Administrative Entities, Supports Coordination Organizations (ID/A), and Providers (ID/A)

Purpose

The purpose of this communication is to announce the reinstatement of Quality Assessment and Improvement (QA&I) Cycle 1 Year 3 (C1Y3) activities for entities in and/or moving into the yellow phase of Governor Wolf’s Process to Re-Open Pennsylvania.

Discussion

On April 3, 2020 ODP released an update to Communication 20-023 that announced the suspension of QA&I activities until further notice.

In response to Governor Wolf’s Process to Re-Open Pennsylvania, entities located in/or assigned to counties that are in the yellow phase will be expected to resume all QA&I C1Y3 activities. Entities located in/or assigned to counties that are in the red phase should continue to suspend QA&I C1Y3 activities. The only exception would be if ODP or the Administrative Entity (AE) determines circumstances when the Corrective Action Plans and/or Directed Corrective Action Plans are necessary to assure health and safety.

In order to efficiently manage the completion of this process, the ODP QA&I Regional Coordinators in concert with the QA&I AE Coordinators will contact entities directly who have outstanding QA&I C1Y3 activities within 5 business days of the counties where they are located in/or assigned moving into yellow phase or within 5 business days of publication of this communication if the entity is located in/or assigned to a county that moved into the yellow phase prior to the publication of this document to advise on next steps.

Please send questions via email directly to your ODP QA&I Regional Coordinator.
