Long-Term Living Enrollment Services

Guardian

A court appointed representative who has the authority to act on behalf of a Potential LTSS Applicant/Recipient or LTSS Applicant/Recipient.

Inquirer

An individual in the general public who requests information from the Independent Enrollment Broker – (IEB) via phone, Customer Facing Portal (CFP), letter, e-mail, or in person (pending the ability of the ESE to establish a regional presence).

LTC Applicant

An individual who has signed the LTSS Application after indicating they are applying for Long-Term Care in a Facility or has applied for services in a Nursing Home or related facility through COMPASS.

Participant

An individual who is enrolled in an OLTL/HCBS Waiver Program.

Potential HCBS Applicant

An individual who has confirmed their intent to apply for HCBS but has not yet signed the HCBS Application.

Potential LTC Applicant

An individual who has confirmed their intent to apply for LTC but has not yet signed the LTC Application.

HCBS Applicant

An individual who has signed the LTSS Application after indicating they are applying for HCBS or has applied for HCBS through COMPASS.

Power of Attorney

A representative appointed by the Potential LTSS Applicant or LTSS Applicant who has the legal authority to act on their behalf in the event they become incapacitated.
